The Master in Industrial Management and Decision-Making (MGDI) aims to provide business and industrial specialists, through graduates whose skills allow them to support decision-making processes, a fundamental factor in strategic and long-term management.
The interest in this field has been recognized, particularly in industrial processes where the large generation of data is a reality, as consequence of technological advances. The creation of knowledge from these data, combined with knowledge in Management, is a gap that is often pointed out in the higher education. Because of that industry has been a fundamental partner in terms of research in this master's degree, either by providing data or by presenting challenges.
The interdisciplinary nature of MGDI is fully aligned with the Mission of ESTG and its research center (CIICESI - Center for Innovation and Research in Business Sciences and Information Systems). The MGDI is supported in two of CIICESI's major scientific areas (Management and Mathematics) and is aligned with its strategic plan, namely in the defined research areas, in particular, in Decision Making and Data Analysis.
